From August 1, three significant changes will take effect in the financial sector for Russians. Working pensioners will have their payments automatically recalculated, participants in a new experiment among the self-employed will be able to receive their first sick leaves, and tax notifications will begin to arrive via "Gosuslugi" (State Services).
The maximum increase in the insurance pension for working citizens will be 470.28 rubles – this is the value of three pension coefficients. Accumulative payments managed by the Social Fund will increase by 17.3%, and for participants in the co-financing program and some other categories – by 19.3%. No application will be required.
A separate increase will be received by those who turned 80 in July or were assigned the first disability group. Their fixed part of the insurance pension will be doubled – to 19,169.38 rubles.
The first sick leaves can be issued by self-employed individuals who have joined a voluntary insurance program and paid contributions for at least six months. In 2026, one can choose coverage for 35 thousand or 50 thousand rubles, paying 1344 or 1920 rubles per month, respectively. A discount on contributions of up to 30% is provided for a long period without claims.
Another change will affect taxes on apartments, cars, and other property. Notifications will automatically appear on "Gosuslugi" for owners of confirmed accounts. Paper letters will remain for those who do not have access to the portal and the FNS (Federal Tax Service) personal account. Taxes must be paid by December 1 inclusive – penalties will begin to accrue from the next day.
