There are almost no ready-made AI agents on the Russian IT market that can be bought and immediately put to work. Instead, developers offer platforms on which businesses independently build solutions for their processes, according to a study by "Yakov and Partners".
The reason is not only the level of technology. Each company has its own internal systems, regulations, and databases, so a universal digital employee rarely suits everyone. Banks, metallurgists, and large IT companies create agents for themselves, but they are not in a hurry to bring these developments to the open market.
An AI agent differs from a regular chatbot in that it can not only answer questions but also independently perform a chain of actions: search for data, work with corporate programs, and bring a task to completion.
Such solutions are already being actively launched in Russia. For example, companies have created more than 30,000 agents on the Yandex AI Studio platform, but most of them are used for internal tasks. By the end of September, Yandex promises to introduce a universal assistant that can automate up to half of office routine.
The rapid growth of the market is hindered by expensive computing, a shortage of specialists, and a deficit of graphics accelerators. Therefore, Russian businesses are still rarely offered a ready-made "employee out of the box": companies receive a constructor and then adapt it at their own expense.
