Newest missiles for Su-57E to be offered to foreigners: including RVV-SDM and RVV-BD

Rosoboronexport is also bringing the stealthy Kh-69 and anti-radiation Kh-58UShKE to the global market

Russia has begun promoting the newest medium-range air-to-air missiles RVV-SDM, short-range RVV-MD2, and long-range RVV-BD to the global market, Rosoboronexport announced. The primary carrier for these munitions will be the export version of the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter. These missiles can also be used by other Russian and foreign aircraft after appropriate modifications.

The missiles were developed by the Tactical Missiles Corporation. The munitions are designed to engage aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and drones at any time of day and in conditions of intense electronic countermeasures.

The characteristics of the new munitions have not been disclosed. The predecessor of one of the new products, RVV-SD, has a launch range of 110 km and is capable of intercepting targets flying at speeds up to 3600 km/h: it equips MiG-29 and Su-30MKI fighters of the Indian Air Force. In 2025, India purchased RVV-SD amid rising tensions with Pakistan. In addition, the armament list of the export fifth-generation fighter includes guided missiles of various classes: Kh-38MLE (air-to-surface), stealthy Kh-69, anti-radiation Kh-58UShKE, and anti-ship Kh-35UE. This arsenal is supplemented by guided (KAB-250LG-E) and gliding (UPAB-1500B-E) aerial bombs.
