Foreign mobile game developers invested over 400 million rubles in promoting their projects in the Russian app store RuStore during the first six months of 2026. The platform received the same amount of investment for the entire year of 2025.
Compared to the same period last year, the expenditures of foreign publishers increased threefold. RuStore attributes this growth to the emergence of new advertising options, the development of analytical tools, and an increase in the number of foreign developers on the platform.
Companies from China invested the most in game promotion, accounting for about 76% of all foreign advertising budgets. Developers from Singapore and the UAE provided another 10% of the expenditures.
Among the CIS countries, besides Russia, companies from Armenia and Kazakhstan were the most active in promoting their projects.
The largest advertisers were the Chinese game projects Doomsday x Fairy Tail and Athena: Blood Twins. RuStore stated that foreign publishers continue to invest in promotion, viewing the Russian market as one of the important directions for attracting new players.
