RPT2507 Project Tugboat to be Built at R-Flot Facilities in Nizhny Novgorod Region

The R-Flot Group of Companies (Nizhny Novgorod Region) has signed a contract for the construction of an RPT2507 project tugboat for Vodolyot company. The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) acted as the customer for the construction.

A tugboat is a specialized auxiliary vessel for transporting floating objects, such as barges, sections, and lighters, by pushing them. It also ensures safe maneuvering of large ships in difficult conditions.

RPT2507 project vessels are designed to operate in inland waterways with wave heights up to 2.0 m in accordance with the RKO classification.

Characteristics of the RPT2507 project tugboat:

  • Length – 24.8 m
  • Width – 7 m
  • Side height – 1.8 m
  • Draft – 1.2 m
  • Main engine power – 2×220 kW
  • Speed – 10 knots

The tugboat will have 5 types of ship tanks, including those for oil-containing and sewage water. The volume of fuel tanks is 12 m³ and drinking water is 5 m³. The tugboat's autonomy in terms of supplies is 5 days.
