St. Petersburg shipbuilders launched the passenger electric vessel "Fontanka 2.0" of project F2, built at the production site of the "Rechnaya" shipyard. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The principle of electric propulsion implemented in this project minimizes the impact of the object on the environment.
The passenger capacity of "Fontanka 2.0" is up to 80 people. Project F2 was developed by the shipbuilding shipyard "Emperium". The main feature is the limited vertical dimension (the height of the vessel above the waterline). Sliding windows were used on the open deck for passenger comfort.
The vessel is intended for servicing tourist routes in the waters of St. Petersburg's rivers and canals. Construction is being carried out by order of the company "Vodokhod. Passenger Port".
