The new Yak-130M combat trainer aircraft has been updated by more than 50% in terms of equipment. The aircraft will be tasked with fighter, assault, and strike missions.
The Yak-130M gained the ability to use a wide range of weapons, including guided ones, for both air and ground targets, the text notes.
The new capabilities of the Yak-130M allow it to be used for such specific missions as defeating heavy enemy UAVs and destroying its unmanned boats at sea.
The modernized Yak-130M, thanks to the integration of the new onboard BRLS-130R radar and the SOLT-130K optoelectronic sighting system, gained the ability to use R-77-1 and R-74M air-to-air guided missiles.
