The company "Dieselzipserservice" (part of the KMZ industrial holding, located in St. Petersburg) has begun another repair of the D-30EU-6 gas turbine engine, the company's press service reported. The work is being carried out within the framework of existing service contracts for fuel and energy complex facilities.
The D-30EU-6 engine is an industrial version of the third series D-30 aircraft engine with a nominal power of 6 MW, operating on natural gas. Such units are used as part of gas pumping units and gas turbine power plants at fields, where they utilize associated gas and reduce harmful emissions. In addition, the units serve as a drive for gas compressors at main facilities.
The repair will restore the engine's resource, increase reliability, and extend the overhaul interval. For customers, this means a reduced probability of unscheduled shutdowns and stable equipment operation under high loads at remote production facilities. The availability of such a service becomes critical for energy security, given the high wear and tear of the gas turbine fleet.
