In the first half of 2026, demand for Lada cars continued to grow, albeit at a moderate pace. As reported by TASS at Avito Auto, interest in new cars of the Togliatti brand increased by 4% year-on-year, and for used cars – by 2%. The average price of a new Lada car was about 1.4 million rubles.
The secondary market shows a picture of sustained demand for proven budget models. The most popular were Lada Priora (average price 329 thousand rubles), Granta (577 thousand), 4x4 ("Niva") for 394 thousand, Kalina (277 thousand) and Samara 2114 for only 195 thousand rubles. More modern Largus and Vesta on the secondary market are estimated at 765 thousand and 1 million rubles respectively, which is significantly lower than the average price of a new car.
Earlier, Avtostat also reported that Lada topped the list of best-selling used cars in Russia.
AvtoVAZ maintains its leadership in sales volumes, holding its position amid overall market growth. In 2025, the plant produced almost 325 thousand Lada cars, and the dynamics of the first half of 2026 confirm that the brand remains the main supplier of affordable cars for Russians.
