On board 4 cars or 2 trucks with passengers: the Beringiya landing craft has launched on a regional route in Chukotka

The self-propelled vessel of project SP-20 was built in Primorsky Krai in 2025

Sea cargo transportation on the self-propelled landing craft (shallow-draft barge) "Beringiya" of project SP-20 has been launched on regional routes in Chukotka. The new route is controlled by the Anadyr Department of the North-Eastern Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport".

The landing craft will deliver cargo with accompanying persons from berth No. 7 to berth No. 8 of the Anadyr seaport. The vessel will also connect coastal settlements of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, including Uelkal, Konergino, Enmelen, Nunlengran, Sireniki, Kanchalan, Krasneno, Ust-Belaya, and Snezhnoe.

  • Passenger capacity — 6 people

The "Beringiya" was built at a shipyard in Vladivostok in 2025. The barge's carrying capacity is 35 t. Its deck can accommodate 4 passenger cars or 2 trucks up to 14 m long, or 2 twenty-foot containers. The "Beringiya" is equipped with a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 5 t, as well as a folding ramp for unloading equipment onto an unequipped shore.
