Kamikaze drone "Lancet" received an antenna for invulnerability to electronic warfare

The device ensures the security of the communication channel

The Russian kamikaze drone "Lancet" has reportedly received a new communication and navigation system for operation in conditions of active electronic countermeasures. The manufacturer, Zala, presented new footage of the drone, showing a previously absent antenna on the upper part of the fuselage.

It can be seen that it is a flat printed antenna with crossed dipoles, analysts from "Voennaya Khronika" specified.

Such devices are necessary to protect data transmission channels and ensure high-precision positioning even in conditions of jamming.

Depending on the specific modification, the "Lancet" can stay in the air for up to 40 minutes. The average range of "Lancets" is usually limited to 90 km, but in early March, it became known about a drone flight of 136 km.

Zala also built a new disposable catapult for "Lancets", sharply reducing the preparation time for launch.
