Production of the newest "Koalitsiya-SV" stalled due to imported machines

Analyst Marzhetsky stated a problem with barrel manufacturing and a shortage of powder modules

The 2S35 "Koalitsiya-SV" self-propelled artillery system, developed in Russia, surpasses the best NATO models in its characteristics, but serial production has encountered difficulties. Military analyst Sergey Marzhetsky spoke about them.

According to him, the reason lies in the technological "hunger" of the Motovilikha and Uraltransmash factories, which are not yet able to organize large-scale production of the necessary components.

They ran into the complexity of producing automated loading mechanisms, a shortage of special variable-type powder modules, and the impossibility of manufacturing long barrels under the embargo on imported machine tools.

Recall that the "Koalitsiya-SV", thanks to its long-barreled 152-mm 2A88 gun, is capable of firing "Krasnopol-D" shells at a range of up to 65 km with a rate of fire of 16 rounds per minute. The howitzer was built on the T-90 tank platform.
