Yaroslavl shipbuilders have completed the formation of an ice-resistant hull of ice2 class on the crab catcher vessel "Belukha" (Project 6135). It is being built in a closed slipway at "Verf brat'ev Nobel" in Rybinsk. This was reported by the press service of the "Kalashnikov" concern, which includes the shipbuilding enterprise.
"Belukha" is the first crab catcher fully designed in Russia. The vessel is intended for catching and transporting live crab in the Far East. The customer is the company "Vostok" from Vladivostok. In addition to "Belukha", another live crab catcher of Project 6135, "Kashalot", is also being built at the shipyard.
The vessels will be equipped with RWS-tanks (water tanks) that will store about 100 tons of sorted crustaceans.

This is not the first vessel with an ice-resistant hull built at "Verf brat'ev Nobel". in 2024, Yaroslavl shipbuilders sent the crab catcher "Sergey Prikhodko" of Project CCa5712LS to "Aqua-Invest" company. The vessel operates in the Bering and Okhotsk Seas.
