Gagaring company has created a new directional remote antenna complex called "Obereg-MIMO", which allows drone operators to work from cover. This solution aims to ensure the safety of UAV control and improve communication stability in conditions of intense radio interference.
The main feature of the complex is the separation of the operator's working area and the antenna. Instead of placing equipment next to the person, the antenna is installed outside the shelter, and control is carried out via a cable line. The basic version provides an extension of up to 22 meters, and an additional two-channel amplifier allows increasing the distance to 42 meters.
The design of "Obereg-MIMO" is focused on working with modern drone control systems. The complex supports 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands, and MIMO technology uses two amplification channels and two signal polarizations – horizontal and vertical. This allows improving reception quality and maintaining communication stability under interference.
According to the declared characteristics, the system's operating range is from 6 to 10 km, depending on application conditions, terrain, and the level of radio-electronic impact. The amplifier operates with a power of up to 2 W in the 2.4 GHz band and up to 3 W in the 5.15–5.85 GHz band. The antenna gain reaches 11 dBi for 2.4 GHz and 14 dBi for 5.8 GHz.
The complex can be powered by a complete 12 V 5 Ah battery or from external sources with a voltage of 12–24 V, including car batteries. Autonomy is declared at least 20 hours.
