Airship building has every chance of revival thanks to the efforts of specialists who continue to work in this field and possess significant experience in creating such aircraft. This was stated by Polina Albek, CEO and founder of the aviation design bureau "Pervyy Dirizhabl".
According to her assessment, a decisive period has now arrived for the industry. Albek noted that among Russian engineers, there are still designers who directly participated in the development of Soviet airships. Their knowledge and practical experience can form the basis for creating a new generation of aircraft.
She emphasized that the development of modern airships should rely not only on engineering heritage but also on new technologies. This involves the use of modern materials and technical solutions that can significantly improve the efficiency, reliability, and operational characteristics of such aircraft.
According to Albek, it is precisely the combination of the Soviet engineering school with modern developments that allows Russia to maintain strong positions in the direction of cargo airships. In her opinion, the accumulated experience of domestic specialists remains an important advantage for the possible revival of this high-tech industry.
