AvtoVAZ did not raise prices, adding climate control and telematics to Lada Vesta and Lada Aura

AvtoVAZ has started selling updated Lada Vesta and Aura models with climate control and telematics, maintaining previous prices. As reported by TASS in the plant's press service, the recommended retail price has not changed, although insiders previously predicted a price increase.

Vesta models in "Drive" (from 1,785,000 rubles) and "Techno" (from 2,015,000 rubles) versions received climate control. Basic configurations retained air conditioning. Aura is equipped with a climate system in both versions – "Premier" for 2,269,000 and "Status" for 2,466,000 rubles.

All components are supplied by Russian enterprises: the controller and control panel by "Itelma", the temperature sensor by "Schetmash", and the assembled unit by "Avtopribor". The LADA Connect Start telematics system is included as standard equipment in all modifications of both models and allows monitoring fuel level, engine temperature, battery charge, and vehicle location from a smartphone.

Telematics as standard and climate control without extra charge is an atypical move for a plant that usually monetizes every option. The decision appears to be an attempt to maintain demand after the July introduction of discounts and amidst competition with Chinese brands, where rich equipment has already become the standard. Previously, Vesta and Aura received remote engine start and keyless entry.
