Where Wheels Slip: Robot Dog "Alaska" Covers 3 km Off-Road with a 5 kg Load

The four-legged courier robot "Alaska" was showcased at the "Drone Expo – 2026" exhibition in Kazan, a TASS correspondent reports. The machine is already being used in the combat zone, delivering essential supplies to soldiers on the front line.

The robot carries up to 5 kg of cargo – water, food, ammunition. Its off-road range reaches 3 km. "Alaska" is equipped with infrared and thermal imaging cameras, as well as a flashlight for working in the dark. The machine is practically invisible in the grass, allowing it to approach positions stealthily.

The main goal is to replace humans in the last mile of delivery, where wheeled vehicles cannot pass, and a drone is too conspicuous. "Alaska" reduces the risk for soldiers during resupply in conditions of direct enemy visibility. The exhibition brought together over 200 companies from more than 20 countries and will continue until July 10.
