Indonesia withdraws from KF-21 project amid interest in Su-57 fighter

The Republic was dissatisfied with cooperation with South Korea

Indonesia has refused to participate in the development of the modernized KF-21 fighter due to dissatisfaction with the terms of cooperation with South Korea. This was reported by Defence News.

According to the source, Indonesia is annoyed by payment delays and accusations of stealing confidential data.

For Russia, this news is noteworthy because media reported on Indonesia's interest in the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter program.

Earlier, Russia received an application from the republic for the supply of weapons and military equipment for the period from 2025 to 2030.

Among Rosoboronexport's current offers are fifth-generation Su-57E and 4++ generation Su-35 aircraft, as well as Il-78MK-90A refueling aircraft, Ka-52E helicopters, Mi-17 type vehicles, and drones.
