Minsk Automobile Plant (OAO "MAZ") will supply 86 MAZ 303T22 trolleybuses to St. Petersburg with the support of Rosagroleasing. The corresponding document was signed by the general director of the manufacturing plant Valery Ivankovich and the head of the leasing company Pavel Kosov on the sidelines of the "Innoprom-2026" exhibition, which opened on July 6 in Yekaterinburg.
The equipment will be manufactured and delivered to SPB GUP "Gorelektrotrans" by the end of this year.
The third-generation trolleybus is based on the MAZ 303. It is distinguished by its maneuverability and smooth ride. The MAZ 303T22 can travel autonomously for 2.5 km, overcoming emergency sections without electricity.
The trolleybus was assembled from Belarusian, Russian, and Chinese parts. The machine moves thanks to an asynchronous power unit with air cooling.
The glazing area of the MAZ 303T22 has increased by 33% compared to previous models. Many external parts are made of aluminum and fiberglass, so they are easy to replace during repairs.

MAZ 303T22 are already operating on routes in Kazan, Minsk, and Gomel. Currently, SPB GUP "Gorelektrotrans" has about 830 trolleybuses. About a third of the fleet consists of trolleybuses with increased autonomous running (TUAKH).
The enterprise continues to update its rolling stock. In 2025, 92 trolleybuses were received, 36 of which had autonomous running.
