The new Russian attack drone "Geran-4 Siker" is capable of flying at an altitude of up to 5 km, which is inaccessible to interceptor drones and a number of anti-aircraft missile systems. Military expert Yuri Knutov spoke about the characteristics of the new product.
According to him, operators now have the ability to control the flight trajectory and evaluate the results of target engagement.
The innovations also affected the appearance of the drone – it began to resemble a cruise missile.
At the final stage of the attack, the "Siker" briefly accelerates, which complicates the interception task, Knutov specified. All this together allows hitting targets with greater efficiency than before.
