Hot asphalt for 12 hours: new thermal bunker from "TMS Group" will help eliminate the risk of pothole defects

The mixture does not cool down from the plant to the trench

Russian road workers have received a tool against the main enemy of pothole repair – cooled mixture. The "TMS Group" division of the "Tagras" holding has developed and tested a thermal bunker capable of maintaining the working temperature of asphalt concrete for up to 12 hours. The equipment has already been tested in the "Tatneftedor" unit on real objects.

The design turns an ordinary truck into a mobile thermal chamber. The operator regulates the material supply through special hatches, eliminating overconsumption and excess formation. The bunker can be mounted on different types of chassis with appropriate carrying capacity. The development is aimed at pothole repair, restoration of utility trenches, and work at low temperatures when the mixture loses its properties especially quickly.

The solution came at the right time: asphalt that cools down prematurely leads to repeated operations and accelerated destruction of patches. The project has already received industry recognition – a victory in the All-Russian competition "100 Best Goods of Russia" and a laureate award in the competition "Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan" based on the results of 2025. Now the thermal bunker is planned to be used on bridges, overpasses, and other transport infrastructure facilities.
