Servicemen of the "Dnepr" troop group have organized technical laboratories where FPV drones are assembled around the clock. The workshop's productivity is over a thousand units per month. The finished drones are sent to assault troops, the Russian Ministry of Defence press service reported.
The personnel of the unmanned systems (BPS) repair platoon provide assault units of motorized rifle units with effective high-precision weapons.
The production of FPV drones includes several stages: receiving parts from manufacturers, assembling test samples, checking system functionality, and final testing. The defense department emphasized that engineers are constantly modernizing the drones, increasing their flight speed and payload capacity.
One of the craftsmen of the BPS repair platoon stated that spools of fiber optic cable up to 50 m long arrive from the factories.
We can divide them in half, we can make 30 and 20 m, and we give them to the servicemen at their positions.
Repairmen also install firmware (control software) on the drones and charge the batteries. Up to 15 FPV drones are prepared in the workshop daily.
