Construction of the Yuzhny Port metro station on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line has begun in Moscow. The new facility will be located in the former industrial zone and is expected to improve transport accessibility in the Yuzhnoportovy district. The start of work was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

The station will be located on the section between "Kozhukhovskaya" and "Pechatniki". Construction is being carried out by open-cut method. The project includes two side platforms and two ground-level vestibules.

Construction is planned to be completed in 2030. After that, the area around the station will be landscaped, and convenient pedestrian infrastructure will be created for passengers.

An automobile tunnel will also be built above the station complex. It will connect 2nd Yuzhnoportovy Proezd with Yuzhnoportovaya Street and will become part of a new highway that will link the Third Transport Ring with Lyublinskaya Street.

According to Sergey Sobyanin, the tunnel will provide transit traffic for cars through the Pechatniki district, improving traffic flows in this part of the city.
