The construction of the integrated natural gas processing and liquefaction complex in Ust-Luga is 80% complete. This was announced by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of PAO "Gazprom", during the annual shareholders' meeting.
We are implementing this project independently, without the involvement of any licensors or suppliers of imported equipment.
The first products from the plant will start arriving in 2026, Miller added.
The annual capacity of the complex will be:
- 45 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
- 13.1 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG)
- 3.6 million tons of ethane fraction
- 1.7 million tons of liquefied petroleum gases
- 0.13 million tons of pentane-hexane fraction
The project is being implemented by PAO "Gazprom" and Rusgazdobycha. Raw materials for the complex will come from the Nadym-Pur-Tazovsky region. This is a strategic oil and gas region in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, which provides a large part of Russia's energy balance.
