Analysts revealed who AI will replace first

People are increasingly turning to blue-collar professions, considering them more protected from automation

Social media users have stopped discussing artificial intelligence abstractly. According to TASS, citing a Brand Analytics study, anxiety has turned into a personal choice: people are currently deciding whether to pursue a profession that AI could change or partially replace.

Linguists, translators, copywriters, and junior programmers were found to be at risk. Analysts processed over 3 billion Russian-language public messages published from April 15 to May 15, 2026. A second notable connection emerged in the discussions – the comparison between universities and colleges. Users are increasingly arguing in favor of blue-collar professions, considering them “protected” from automation, the document states.

The results indicate a shift in public consciousness: while previously there was widespread advice to go into IT, now even junior programmers are seen as threatened. Physical labor is beginning to be perceived as more stable.
