AvtoVAZ continues to build a foundation for future models, having filed applications with Rospatent for seven new trademarks: Onegin, Bagira, Poema, Elegia, Tezis, Tenor, and Arteus. All of them are registered under the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and Services, which allows their use for cars, tires, and components.
After obtaining the patent, the rights to these names will be secured for the plant for a period of 10 years. Trademark registration does not oblige the company to launch cars with such names on the market – this is a standard practice of intellectual property protection "for future use".
Earlier, AvtoVAZ had already registered rights to Lada Tigris and Lada Parus, and also filed an application for the phrase "You can, but why?", which became a meme after one of the top manager's interviews.
