The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will allocate over 1.43 billion rubles for the development of an automated liquid chemical processing unit for silicon wafers up to 200 mm in diameter. This equipment is necessary for the production of semiconductors and microchips. Information about the tender is published on the public procurement website.
According to the terms of the procurement, the unit must perform etching, cleaning, and drying operations for silicon wafers with diameters of 100, 150, and 200 mm. The productivity must be at least 100 wafers per cycle.
It is expected to work with at least 8 different chemical reagents and deionized water. Reagent selection must be automatic.
At the same time, as stated in the tender documents, the equipment must use components of Russian production. The use of foreign parts is possible only after agreement with the customer.
The tender winner is obliged to complete the work by November 30, 2029. The company that received the contract was announced on June 19. However, information about it is not disclosed in the public procurement system.
