An agreement has been formalized in India for the supply of Russian civilian "Karakurt" copter-type drones, with the first batch to be shipped by the end of 2026 and a scenario for localized assembly within the country being explored. The document was concluded within the framework of the India Homeland Security Expo and confirms further expansion of cooperation in the compact UAV segment. This was announced by representatives of the Kalashnikov Concern.
According to company representatives, interest in the "Karakurt" platform in India remains consistently high, primarily from police units. Its compact dimensions and low weight are noted, as well as the fact that the system has already undergone practical testing and received positive feedback following its use in real conditions.
The "Karakurt" UAV is positioned as a light tactical platform for observation and operational use.
It was announced earlier that Kalashnikov Concern had reached an advanced stage of negotiations with an Indian partner on the supply of large batches of anti-drone cartridges.
The concern also presented the "Redut-UR" anti-drone complex, designed to engage drones at short distances. According to the developer, the system has already undergone combat testing and is being used in real conditions.
