Belgorod inventor designed a T-shaped engine with three pistons

Designer Slyusarev proposed abandoning the crankshaft in the unit

Vladimir Slyusarev, an inventor from the Belgorod region, has developed an unusual internal combustion engine that significantly differs from conventional automotive and industrial engines. The main feature of the project is the abandonment of the crankshaft.

Instead, the design uses a system of levers that transmit force from the pistons to a high-pressure hydraulic pump.

The engine has a T-shaped layout and includes 12 cylinders. The pistons are paired: two pistons are placed on one rod. According to the author's idea, this scheme allows two or even three pistons to be engaged simultaneously in the power stroke, whereas in traditional engines, they operate sequentially.

Slyusarev claims that the new design can increase the power and efficiency of the unit. In addition, reducing the number of mechanical components should reduce friction and wear of parts.

Another feature of the engine is a system of compensating springs integrated into the lever mechanism. It is assumed that this will allow more efficient use of the pistons' kinetic energy and further increase efficiency.
