The solar panels of the crewed spacecraft "Soyuz MS-29" have successfully passed mandatory pre-flight tests. The inspection was carried out by Roscosmos specialists as part of the spacecraft's preparation for launch to the International Space Station, scheduled for July 14.
One of the key stages of preparation was a control check of the solar panels' operation. During the tests, the panels with photocells were subjected to intense artificial illumination using a special stand equipped with approximately one hundred powerful lamps.
This test ensures that the solar panels efficiently convert light energy into electrical energy and will be able to provide the spacecraft with the necessary power during autonomous flight and operation in orbit.
Preparation of "Soyuz MS-29" continues. In the coming days, specialists will complete the installation of equipment and necessary gear in the descent module and the orbital module of the spacecraft. After that, the crewed spacecraft will proceed to the next stages of the pre-launch program before its dispatch to the International Space Station.
