Design Bureau "Bars-Sarmat" created a drone interceptor: 3 engines allow it to accelerate up to 340 km/h

The "Rita-2" drone can be launched from both ground and air

The "Bars-Sarmat" Design Bureau has developed a new "Rita-2" drone interceptor. The drone is designed to engage any attack and reconnaissance UAVs of long and medium range.

The technical characteristics of the device are still classified, but it is known that "Rita-2" is equipped with three engines. The maximum speed is over 340 km/h.

This acceleration is sufficient to shoot down Hornet and Bumblebee attack UAVs diving at a speed of 200 km/h.

Thanks to its special design, "Rita-2" has ground, air, and vehicle-based deployment options. The drones are also resistant to wind gusts.

In parallel, Moscow is increasing production of "Yolka" interceptors. Compared to "Rita-2", its characteristics are slightly lower — acceleration up to 230 km/h and a capture range of up to 3 km, but the drone hits the target with a kinetic strike. Whether "Rita-2" has a warhead is still unknown.
