Military all-terrain robot with a "spine" for off-road: new NRTC patented by the Ministry of Defence

An arc-shaped element for bending increases stability on rough terrain

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has patented a wheeled ground robotic complex designed for operation in rough terrain conditions. The development is equipped with an arc-shaped elastic stabilizing element located above the axis of the connecting unit.

The element is connected by hinges to the half-bodies and works by bending, forming a resistance moment during mutual rotation of the half-bodies. Mechanical limiters set the maximum angle of rotation, preventing overturning.

The technical result is an increase in the stability of the complex on difficult terrains. The development can be used in military, rescue, and reconnaissance missions.
