Fuel sales by QR codes canceled in Sevastopol on Sunday

On Sunday, June 21, the TES gas station network in Sevastopol completely stopped dispensing fuel using QR codes. As Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported in the Max messenger, fuel supplies to the city are delayed, and currently, refueling is carried out exclusively for emergency and operational service vehicles.

The QR code mechanism was introduced in the city on June 6 as a rationing tool. Authorities daily published a list of gas stations where gasoline and diesel could be purchased using a code generated in a bot. The code entitled one to 20 liters once a week. However, the volume of available codes is strictly tied to the daily volume of supplies, and if these are disrupted, the system stops completely.

Restrictions on the free sale of fuel have been in effect in Sevastopol since May 22, and since May 29, they have also extended to Crimea. Free sales were still conducted on Saturday at eight Atan gas stations and two TES gas stations, but after the reserve was exhausted and no new supplies arrived, the TES network switched to serving only operational vehicles.
