IDRW: Russia offers India joint Su-75 production based on BrahMos model

Russia is actively offering India not just the purchase of Su-75 "Checkmate" fighters, but full-fledged joint production with technology transfer and localization, IDRW reports, citing industry sources. According to the Indian publication, Moscow hopes to replicate the success of the BrahMos supersonic anti-ship missile program in aviation, which has become one of the brightest examples of Indian-Russian defense cooperation.

The essence of the proposal is to transform India not just into a buyer, but into a full-fledged production partner. Russian officials declare their readiness to customize the aircraft to the customer's requirements, for joint developments and local assembly, the article notes.

This approach is particularly attractive for countries seeking to develop their own industrial base and avoid dependence on imported "black box" technologies. However, New Delhi is in no hurry: the key problem with the Su-75 is its "raw" status. Unlike the Su-57, which has already entered service with the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Su-75 has not yet made its first flight.

Earlier, IDRW reported that Russia considers India a long-term partner for Su-57 production – Moscow aims to reproduce the successful Su-30MKI model, where Indian industry became part of the production chain.
