Tanks and IFVs of the "Sever" Group are Massively Equipped with Anti-Drone "Hedgehogs"

It takes up to three days for repairmen to weld one vehicle

Specialists of the repair unit of the 79th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division of the 11th Army Corps of the "Sever" troop group have streamlined the modernization of tanks and combat vehicles, the Ministry of Defence reported. The equipment is being fitted with anti-drone protection of the "hedgehog" type.

During the modification, combat vehicles are welded with a metal frame, to which branched iron cables are attached. The structure is assembled taking into account combat experience and the wishes of the crews. It takes no more than three days to weld one tank.

In addition to installing "hedgehogs", specialists perform maintenance and restoration of vehicles, motorcycles, and weapons. ATVs and buggies are also equipped with anti-drone frames, machine gun turrets, thermal imagers, and aiming devices. There is no shortage of spare parts and tools; interaction with manufacturing plants has been established.
