Max messenger has launched an automatic mechanism for restoring access to a blocked profile. According to "Izvestia", it is based on Mobile ID technology – identification via a SIM card without sending a code via SMS. The procedure is launched directly from the application after an unsuccessful login attempt and takes place in the "client – browser – operator" chain.
For it to work, you need to disable VPN and Wi-Fi, otherwise the system will not be able to verify the data with the mobile operator. Another strict condition is that the device must not be in roaming. If these conditions are met, the user enters their phone number and password, clicks the recovery button, confirms the action in the browser, and returns to the application with an unlocked account. If the automatic method fails, the standard appeal to support remains.
Previously, profile recovery required manual contact with the support service, which created a burden on operators and delays for users. The transition to SIM identification removes this bottleneck and turns access recovery into an automatic chain of several clicks.
