A fully Russian ATM could appear as early as 2027. This was stated by Arkady Trachuk, CEO of Goznak. The company is developing its own recycling module – a key component that accepts, verifies, stores, and dispenses cash again.
For the country's technological sovereignty, this is a fundamentally important step. Therefore, I expect that a fully Russian ATM will appear next year.
According to Trachuk, the recycling module already exists as a prototype. By the end of 2026, Goznak plans to complete the technical part of the development, after which the solution must undergo testing and receive certification from the Bank of Russia.
Then the ATM itself, which will incorporate the domestic module, will have to pass regulatory inspection. Currently, even Russian manufacturers often use imported components in such devices, so their own recycling module should become the basis for producing ATMs without foreign parts.
