Petersburg Tractor Plant has expanded its line of heavy agricultural Kirovets K-7M tractors, introducing new models with power up to 460 hp, based on a fully localized Russian engine.
The Kirovets K-7M tractor family has been updated with three new modifications: K-740MK, K-743MK, and K-746MK. Their power range is from 400 to 460 hp, which expands the capabilities of the lineup in the segment of high-load agricultural machinery.
A key feature of the new machines is the Russian in-line six-cylinder KAMAZ 960 series engine with a volume of 13 liters, which is entirely produced in the country. The company notes that the transition to this power unit enhances technological independence and simplifies technical support for the equipment.
According to the manufacturer, the engine design reduces noise and vibration levels due to its in-line layout, while the use of a Common Rail injection system ensures more precise fuel delivery and stable traction in various load conditions. The declared service life of the power unit reaches up to 10,000 operating hours, facilitated by reinforced piston group elements and efficient cooling.
It is also emphasized that separate cylinder heads and the modular architecture of the engine simplify maintenance and potential repairs in the field. Updated cooling and oil filtration systems are designed for operation in heavy-duty scenarios typical for large agricultural machinery.
