"Moskvich" is almost premium: 3.5 million for a Russian crossover with 174 hp - is this the new normal?

The manufacturer revealed the technical features and cost of the updated models

In 2026, the "Moskvich" brand launched the most expensive versions of two of its models – the seven-seater crossover "Moskvich 8" and the liftback "Moskvich 6". The updated configurations brought prices closer to the 3.5 million rubles mark and added digital services and extended equipment, strengthening the models' positioning in the upper price segment.

The company revealed the cost of the new versions of "Moskvich 8" and "Moskvich 6" for the 2026 model year. Both cars received top-tier trims with an emphasis on technology, comfort, and advanced digital features. The most expensive was the "Moskvich 8" crossover in a configuration with telematics, followed by the "Moskvich 6" liftback in a business-level version.

The seven-seater "Moskvich 8" in the new version received a built-in telematics platform, allowing remote monitoring of the car's condition, control of individual functions, and event notifications. The service is connected for three years and is included in the price. At the same time, the car retained its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 174 hp and a robotic transmission with front-wheel drive, but lost keyless engine start.

The "Moskvich 6" liftback in the business-level trim is also equipped with a 1.5-liter 174-hp turbocharged engine with a robotic gearbox. The configuration includes an electric sunroof, a digital instrument panel, leather trim, a 360-degree camera, keyless entry, wireless charging, and a multimedia system with smartphone support.

The "Moskvich 8" in the new configuration is priced at 3.535 million rubles and has become the most expensive crossover in the lineup. The "Moskvich 6" in the MY26 version costs 3.46 million rubles, significantly increasing its price compared to the previous model year.

In fact, the brand has brought both models into the same price range, where the buyer chooses between the versatility of a seven-seater crossover and a more dynamic liftback with enhanced comfort.
