The fishing enterprise "Karat-1" (part of the Norebo holding) filed a lawsuit against "Severnaya Verf" for 5.4 billion rubles. The application will be considered by the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
This is another multi-billion ruble lawsuit by Norebo's subsidiaries against the shipyard in less than six months. The holding's total financial claims against "Severnaya Verf" exceeded 24 billion rubles.
"Severnaya Verf" is one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Russia. Its main products are modern multi-purpose ships, for example, Project 22350 frigates ("Admiral Gorshkov") and Project 20380/20385 corvettes.
The management remains optimistic — it plans to increase productivity by 15 times by 2030, despite huge losses and penalties. The Ministry of Industry and Trade even initiated the modernization of the shipyard — it will begin in 2027.
