The "Safe City" hardware and software complex with video analytics support will be implemented in the Republic of Tuva by the International Buddhist Forum, which will be held from August 17 to 20, 2026. This was announced by the governor of the region, Vladislav Khovalyg, on the sidelines of the SPIEF.
Safety and comfort are a priority. Fiber optics are also being laid and switches are being installed – stable internet and live broadcasts will work at all forum venues.
"Safe City" is a federal program coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The IT structure for this system in each region is created by various companies, including NtechLab, the Vega concern, and NTC Protey.
The complex combines more than 150 sensors and systems, including facial recognition. They are designed to monitor the public situation, prevent incidents, and call emergency services.
