The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, which will put the Progress MS-36 cargo spacecraft into orbit, has been delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Specialists from the Yuzhny Space Center, part of Roscosmos, ensured the reception of the railway train with rocket components.
After unloading, the rocket blocks will be placed in their designated positions for subsequent technological operations. Then, the launch vehicle will be sent to the technical complex at site No. 31, where it will remain until preparations for launch begin.
Roscosmos reported that the center's specialists received the train with the rocket blocks and will proceed with further work on placing and storing the equipment in accordance with the mission preparation schedule.
The launch of Progress MS-36 will be part of the International Space Station supply program. These spacecraft regularly deliver fuel, equipment, scientific instruments, food, and other necessary cargo for the ISS crew into orbit. The preparation of the rocket at Baikonur is one of the key stages before the upcoming launch.
