In Russia, the information security market could more than triple by the beginning of the next decade – this forecast was presented by the Center for Strategic Research (CSR) amidst a steady increase in demand for protective digital solutions and the growing complexity of cyber threats.
According to CSR's estimates, in 2025, the volume of the Russian cybersecurity market reached 364.4 billion rubles, an increase of 16.1% year-on-year. If the current dynamics continue, by 2031, the segment could grow to 1.15 trillion rubles with an average annual growth rate of about 19.4%.
Basic demand is still concentrated around network protection tools and endpoint protection, but infrastructure and application security, as well as data protection solutions, are showing the fastest growth.
An additional driver is the development of access management tools and the transition of companies to service models of cybersecurity consumption, including MSSP, MDR, and SOC-as-a-Service.
At the same time, a number of areas remain underestimated. These include solutions for protecting artificial intelligence systems and LLM models, external attack surface management (ASM) tools, and technologies for controlling privileged and machine accounts. The industry expects that these niches could become the next growth points.
