The Supervisory Board of the Industrial Development Fund of St. Petersburg approved the allocation of a loan of 234.2 million rubles to the Obukhovsky Plant (part of the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern). The funds will be used to modernize the existing production.
The enterprise plans to acquire seven units of equipment, including electrical discharge and grinding machines with numerical control.
The modernization of production facilities will allow for the establishment of production of modular monolithic metal-cutting tools, as well as an increase in production volume by 52.6 thousand units per year. During the modernization, 20 new jobs will be created at the plant.
Recall that the Obukhovsky Plant manufactures launchers for the S-500 "Prometey" anti-aircraft missile system, mounted on multi-axle heavy wheeled chassis BAZ.
Also on the product list are high-strength container cups, inside which missiles are stored.
At the end of December, it became known that VKO "Almaz-Antey" signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense of Belarus for the maintenance and repair of air defense equipment.
