The high-speed hydrofoil vessel "Voskhod-50" of project 352, gratuitously transferred to Perm Krai, is completing its restoration in St. Petersburg. It is expected that the renovated motor ship will arrive in Perm under its own power by mid-July.
In the autumn of 2025, the "Voskhod-50" was sent from the Kama Ship Repair Plant to the Northern Capital on a trailer. The regional Ministry of Transport reported that the contractor first restored the hull: replaced part of the outer plating and the rubbing strake – a device along the sides for protection during mooring. Then all the vessel's systems – fuel, oil, drinking water, fire-fighting – were updated, and a new main engine was installed.
After the completion of the work, all elements will be checked by experts from the Russian Classification Society for compliance with river register rules. Specialists have already approved the technical specifications for the restoration. Before being sent to Perm, the first sea trials will be conducted in St. Petersburg, and permits for the transfer will be issued.
It is planned that the "Voskhod-50" will begin operation in the 2027 navigation season. The vessel will operate on the Perm — Chaykovsky route with stops in the cities of Prikamye. The length of the route will be 360 kilometers, and the travel time will be 6 hours.
