Russia Concludes $20 Billion Military Equipment Contracts with Africa

Rosoboronexport: Over 150 Agreements Signed Since 2023

Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has summarized its work in the African direction. Over three years, the company has concluded about 150 agreements with states on the continent. The main volume accounts for the supply of weapons, military, and special equipment to equip armies and law enforcement agencies. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosoboronexport.

The priority is given to models proven in real combat conditions. African partners are offered air defense systems, armored vehicles, aviation complexes, small arms, as well as solutions for protecting maritime borders and extended coastlines.

The company emphasized that the key advantages of Russian weaponry are its adaptability to hot climates, maintainability in the field, and the absence of political conditions during deliveries.

Special attention is paid to technology transfer and personnel training. Rosoboronexport organizes training for African specialists at Russian training grounds and enterprises, and helps create local service centers.

Alexander Mikheev noted that interest in Russian defense products is increasing in Africa. Countries in the region are looking for trusted suppliers ready to provide comprehensive solutions.
