In 2026, 25 new unique production facilities are planned to open on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone. Among the main projects are two lithium-ion battery production plants. They will become part of a large electric battery production cluster, which, as Sobyanin noted, is the only one in Russia. According to the mayor, in the coming years this will allow almost completely covering the domestic market's need for such products.
But batteries are only part of a large industrial launch. The technopolis will also host enterprises that will produce innovative lighting devices, printed circuit boards, optoelectronic devices for high-speed data reception and transmission, aircraft interiors, and modern oncology drugs.
Sobyanin separately reminded that in 2025, the photolithography mask center building was already put into operation. This is Russia's first serial production of critically important components for microchip manufacturing.
