AvtoVAZ announced the start of sales of a limited batch of Lada Niva Travel, the main feature of which is natural leather seat upholstery. The circulation of the new product is only 1000 copies, which makes the special series collectible. Thus, the manufacturer is testing buyer interest in more expensive finishes on SUVs.
The material for the seats is supplied by the Ryazan enterprise "Russkaya Kozha". The leather, 1.1–1.4 millimeters thick, has undergone chrome tanning, making it resistant to dirt, oil, and chemicals, remaining hypoallergenic and wear-resistant.
The seat design has also been refined: inserts on the front and rear seats are perforated, and the backrests feature an embossed Niva Travel model name.
The leather interior is only available in the "Tekhno" trim level. The price starts from 1,909,000 rubles. The equipment includes LED optics, air conditioning, multimedia with navigation, a rear-view camera with a washer, and a heated windshield. All Nivas now receive a 1.8-liter engine.
