Rostec specialists have improved the "Lebed" mobile unit on a KamAZ chassis, designed for the installation and dismantling of submersible pumps in technological wells at uranium mining enterprises. The new modification facilitates technological processes of mining operations, the state corporation's press service told "Pervy Tekhnichesky".
With the help of "Lebed", a pump can be extracted from a well, replaced or repaired, and then returned to its original position to continue operations. All lowering and lifting operations are performed with a flexible reinforced hose.
What has changed:
- Modernized the drum for winding the hose at a speed of up to 133 meters per minute
- Made changes to the unit's control system
- Improved the layout of equipment on the wheeled chassis
After successful tests, the "Lebed" unit on a KamAZ chassis was implemented at one of the enterprises of the nuclear industry.
Among the advantages of the unit are its mobility, all-weather capability, and year-round operation. It is capable of moving on cobblestone roads and rough terrain. At the customer's request, the manipulator machine can be installed on the chassis of another truck.
