Mobile internet outages have become part of the current reality for Rostelecom's clients, and businesses and government agencies have started requesting Wi-Fi hotspot creation more frequently. This was stated by the company's president, Mikhail Oseevsky.
According to him, the development dynamics of Wi-Fi infrastructure have already doubled compared to the same period last year. Such projects are especially in demand where mobile internet is unstable or temporarily restricted.
Oseevsky noted that Rostelecom understands the situation and implements many projects without charge for residents, including in areas close to the line of combat engagement.
At the same time, the head of the company emphasized that Rostelecom does not consider itself the main beneficiary of what is happening. According to him, internet outages have not brought the operator any super-profits, and the situation itself is perceived as temporary.
Everything eventually ends, and we will one day return to normal life.
